Actor Shemar Moore is due in court later this month after being arrested and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), California authorities say. Moore is best known for his work on CBS' soap opera The Young & The Restless, and films such as The Brothers and Diary Of A Mad Black Woman. Moore is currently on the CBS drama Criminal Minds.The 37 year old actor was released on $5,000 bail. Shemar was doing over 65 mph on Santa Monica Boulevard around 1 a.m. Friday June 2, 2007 when he was stopped by the California Highway Patrol, officer said.
"Mr. Moore displayed signs of alcohol impairment and a DUI investigation was conducted," according to the CHP arrest report.
Moore was arrested 30 minutes later and taken to a nearby police station where he took a breath test and was later booked.
Shemar is due in court Tuesday, June 26, 2007.
