Britney Spears has a lot going on lately. Fox News has reported that Britney Spears will lose custody of SPF and JJ temporarily. They claim sources are telling them Commissioner Scott Gordon will hand SPF and JJ over to KFed full-time temporarily due to information the courts have received over the weekend.
Britney's now former lawyer Laura Wasser disputes that. She says custody remains 50/50 for now and no other decisions have been made. Yesterday was Laura's last day as Britney's lawyer, where she attended a 2-hour hearing with Britney's former bodyguard. He is the "secret witness" Gloria Allred brought to Britney and KFed's custody hearing today testified about Brit's drug use and nudity after rehab. Tony Barretto, the former bodyguard, was hired when Britney got out of rehab and was fired in May 2007 because allegedly he didn't hear her when she told him to pick up her hat.
Tony said he came forward, because being a father himself he became extremely concerned for the safety of Spears' sons, Sean and Jayden.
Neither Spears' or Federline's attorneys chose to cross-examine him. His declaration went "unrefuted and unchallenged."
Upon the news of her severing ties with Spears', Laura Wasser told People Magazine , "I don't want anyone to perceive that we're dumping Britney. In a lot of attorney-client relationships, there comes a time when some fresh blood is necessary."
Spears' manager Jeff Kwatinetz has quit working for the pop princess as well.
Britney Spears' fifth studio album is set to be released on November 13, 2007.
